Legacy GT Limited

I bought my '05 Subaru Legacy GT Limited this past December and I absolutely love information technology. Later on being in SUV's for years driving an average of about 25k miles a year, I decided it was fourth dimension for me to cease dumping my paychecks in the gas tank. The Legacy I got is completely loaded including a 6-disc in dash CD changer, Titanium Trim, dual ability heated seats, moonroof, machine-dimming mirrors, windshield wiper deicer, 17" blend wheels, and rear spoiler. The 2.5 liter high output turbo is incredible, with very lilliputian turbo lag and amazing performance. Handling is similar a dream, and I discover myself going out of my way to take curving, winding backroads. The symmetrical AWD system is key in this, and fifty-fifty in the snow the car handles surprisingly well given it's low stature. On the outside the car is sexy, sporty, and definitely a looker. The inside is much of the aforementioned, although the front end seats are a fleck hard and horrible for long travels; I took it to Ohio, about a 6 hour drive from Chicago, and never wanted to sit down in the car again. However, the seats are perforated which keeps your behind cooler in the scorching summer lord's day. I thought the gas mileage would be ameliorate than it is, considering it'southward a smaller car with a 4-cylinder engine, simply I boilerplate about 19.8 in the city and 28 on the highway. Premium fuel is recommended and I'grand a piffling skeptical almost putting in mid-grade, merely with today'due south gas prices I don't actually have a choice. With Subaru beingness the No. one car company with 10 year old cars having over 250,000 miles on them, reliability is definitely non an result with this car. The handling, looks and style, acceleration, motor, sound system, options, etc. + reliability DEFINITELY make purchasing this car a split 2d decision. While shopping I looked at the Acura TSX, Audi A4, VW Jetta, Saab 9-3, Lexus IS300, and Nissan Altima, just vicious in love when I saw and drove this car. When I get-go started looking and my friend told me nearly the Legacy my response was "I don't want to drive a Subaru, they don't excited me." This is because more often than not when someone says "Subaru" y'all don't think of this, you retrieve of the AWD Outback station wagons driven by Mr. Crocodile Dundee. Only trust me, if you're thinking about a smaller than mid-size sedan, have the time to look at the Legacy GT, or new Legacy Spec R, Express. Yous won't be disappointed.

Nifty value for a used auto

I tin't believe, but I now ain two 2005 Subaru Lagacy's (one is a GT). For a smaller sedan, not a meaty, it handles great being low to the basis. Large departure in power from the GT model, but the standard model can hold its own. I've found people don't think of this automobile for a used automobile purchase and that makes information technology a great buy for Lagacy purchasers. Safety features and AWD makes you lot feel safe for trips. Repairs accept been 0%.

Love Subaru legacy

This is the 3rd used Subaru legacy I've ever bought. I honey this automobile. It needed some piece of work when I bought this used ane specifically, but that wasn't because of the automobile, information technology was considering if the possessor before having lack of intendance for the machine. But overall this car is amazing and information technology'southward strong! I experience safer in this car than I did in my SUV and my sedan before it. Legacy'south are reliable, durable, and all effectually astonishing! Not to mention ane of the all-time cars to ain in Colorado.

Legacy ii.5GT sportshift is peachy

Read on the net a couple professional person reviews for this car, don?t take my word for it. Subaru really hitting the mark with this one ? the ?05 is the first year of the 2nd gen, and ?06 is nigh the same automobile (front end scoop tad lower). Sure information technology?south non quite as ?on & graceful? equally a BMW M3 or 330ci, but information technology holds its own with 250 hp and Subaru?s smooth full time AWD, and for once, it?s not ?Subie funky? as a few older models. Interior and body fit-finish is very good. Plus, it's 10 yard cheaper for similar performance. GT bulldoze train is derived from the WRX STI 2.five liter turbo & World Rally Machine racing circuit ? very solid. The auto-sport shift (not manual), is truly a shocker as how well information technology works ? shifting aggressively to pass, or stuck in traffic on full auto. After driving a Mitsubishi VR4 360 hp, AWD, 6-spd, then to the Subaru GT ? frankly, the GT is far more useful while withal sporty ? and manner cheaper to maintain. GT back seat, tho bigger than a VR4?south joke 2+2, is quite cramped for a 6 ft adult ? teens and smaller folks OK. GT gets up to 30 mpg in ?existent earth? if lite on the pedal, and 21 mpg if you?re juicing it. I?ve endemic 4 Subaru?s, 2 of this generation GT - Reliable, fun, and economical. No weirdness, everything simply works. Legacy is a tad lower suspension than the Outback?s, if you?re bashing lots of snowdrifts and dirt roads ? Outback is the higher clearance option. Weekend cruze to the snow, or commute traffic, Legacy GT is simply great. Note the GT is a 5spd with 75 more hp than the 2.5i (four-spd), which is a noticeable delta. The one negative reader below `Pathetic? complaining about noise and ride height, frankly, must have been driving a modified car or something was screwed up; x of eleven reviewers rate the Subaru GT car very highly. New Car examination, Tom Lankard, "Subaru now wants to exist viewed as a premium brand, non a luxury brand like Lexus or Mercedes, simply premium in the level of technology it offers. Subaru certainly lives up to that. Its all-wheel-drive systems are among the best in the world, honed through its success in the Earth Rally Title, and Subaru designs its awd systems specifically for each model and driveline offered, ensuring optimum functioning. Subaru's premium technology goes well across all-wheel bulldoze, however. The engines and suspensions are highly engineered, resulting in a car that offers first-class handling on paved and unpaved roads forth with a smooth, comfy, though not cushy, ride quality. All Legacy models come up with a full array of safe features, including dual-stage frontal airbags, front seat-mounted side-touch airbags, and full-coverage side curtain airbags. The forepart seats have agile head restraints. Antilock brakes (ABS) with electronic brake-forcefulness distribution (EBD) are standard across the line. And all-wheel drive is certainly a safety feature. All this stuff is standard. Many other vehicles with lower base of operations prices, sell these features every bit extra-price options. "

best bang for the buck

I bought this car in May of 2005. I accept maintained it carefully and it has never failed me.I now have 87,000 miles on it. I have taken this auto on the rail and bulldoze it very aggressively. It has been fantastic motorcar to own. I enjoy driving it in whatsoever atmospheric condition. The AWD system is splendid. The turbo is well designed with very footling lag. I take surprized many people with the speed and agility of this automobile. I would recommmed the car to anybody who wants to have a sporty 4 door and does non want to pay 40,000 or more. I bought the automobile for $27,500 and get my money worth every twenty-four hour period.

Best car I have ever owned

I bought my 2005 Legacy 2.5i new in June 05 and as of this writing it has 110479 miles and has never broke down. I take a 120 mile round trip commute and information technology averages thirty mpg. 70% of information technology is backroads, hills and the residue is highway. Its all wheel drive and its non rated for that kind of economy. I love the looks of my Suby even after 4 yrs of ownership. Winters in New England are no trouble with this car. I run all flavour tires twelvemonth round and take no issues in the snowfall, even on steep hills, due to the amazing all bike drive system. We also have a Ford Escape with all wheel drive but that one needs to accept slip before it kicks in which tin crusade issues in the snow and water ice. The Subaru system is always on and it always grips and goes, the Escape slides and and so kicks in. Not fun! Some things I dislike: Base of operations radio is just that, basic. Seats are uncomfortable on long rides. 170 hp of the base engine, wish it had 20 hp more Things I like: Smashing looks Fuel ecomony Treatment Reliability Best headlights I have ever had. Over 110000 miles and body and paint all the same await good, interior is holding upwardly very well likewise. I would non be afraid to buy one of these used.

Subaru just keeps getting improve

This is my fourth Subaru afterwards buying four Volvos, I decided I wanted the safety of all wheel drive. The Volvo all wheel drive was amost xx yard dollars (Canadian) more than. When I compared the value of the volvo with the value of the subaru I decided to try subaru. 2 of the subaru's were manual transmission and two were automatics. The first transmission transmission in a Outback was problematic. Subaru and our local dealer Gemini Motors were very accomodating. The electric current model with the redisigned transmission transmission is very smooth and performs much more than like the volvo did. That ways much better than most other cars except perhaps cars at twice the cost. A very safe auto in all seasons makes for comfortable and loss stress driving.

05 Legacy GT- Ultimate performance saloon

The best peformance saloon on the market and exceptional value when compared to the competition. I test drove all of the competition and a number of cars from Germany and luxury manufacturers and for the toll, features, handling and performance nothing comes close unless yous are willing to spend another $10000! Reliability is excellent and the security of its AWD and LSD get in a very applied and safe long term proposition. The 5 speed transmission makes the almost of the cars performance too as allowing for excellent fuel economic system when the situation requires.

Slap-up College Car

Purchased a 2005 GT Express Wagon for my higher student. This was a ane owner wagon with well-nigh 100,000 miles. Had to do some maintenance on the car - timing chugalug, water pump, spark plugs- for about $1500. I knew this so was not surprised or put off by this expense. Automobile is tight, handles great, has plenty of power, is tranquility with no rattles, and goes similar a bandit! Highly recommend a Subaru and certainly feel this car will hands go to 150 - 175,000 miles. Pigment is still great and leather seats await like new. Certainly is a tribute to how Fuji Heavy Industries builds its cars and probably all the equipment information technology sells!

What a wonderful birthday present!

This vehicle was purchased for me by my dad. He went thru Lyman Motors. They did an engine rebuild on this vehicle. So, fifty-fifty though its 15 years old, and has quite a few miles, it was for a fair price! And, with the engine rebuilt I know it will go for another 100k miles piece of cake! Lyman made this buying feel so much fun for us! He is such a wondering person! I recommend Lyman Motors to everyone whether you are looking for a new or used car, he will help you observe exactly what you are looking for!

Proven reliable during the short time we've had it

Strong motor for a ii.5L four cyl, runs neat, smooth ride, comfortable and applied interior. Second Subaru nosotros have endemic. It is important to keep upwards with the gaskets as they tend to leak given time. Like shooting fish in a barrel set up.
